At the moment, I provide both in-person and virtual sessions. However, there is limited availability to see you in-person at this time. I have a very comfy office in Williamsburg Brooklyn, convenient to the L train.

The first session is just an opportunity to get to know you better and for you to ask me any questions as well. You and I will get a better idea of what brought you in, but I will also begin to understand what might work for you and tailor an approach to your needs. The most important element of therapy is for you to feel safe and comfortable, so at times we may just start there!

I have been a practicing psychotherapist for 17 years and in private practice for 10 of those years. I am thoroughly well-versed in issues that affect Adult Children of Alcoholics and have also provided extensive counseling to those in 12 step programs. I also can work with a variety of different issues including trauma (big T and little t), anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, and more. I usually take a creative approach to the work as I love doing parts work and use some Gestalt techniques, however I can be practical in the work as well, sorting out thoughts and feelings so you can reach a greater understanding of the inner workings of your life.

I’m located in Brooklyn, however, I also provide therapy to residents of Connecticut and New Jersey.

Sessions are 50 minutes each. Most of the time, I prefer to work with clients at a weekly clip in order to have the best results. This is usually because it takes repetition and consistency to form new habits, ways of thinking, feeling and acting. However, I’m open to the conversation of less frequent meetings.

I have a 24 hour cancelation policy or you’re responsible for the full session fee. You have one freebie where I don’t charge.
-
My fee is 200/50 minute session for individual work, 250/session for couples

I am not paneled with any insurance companies so I am not in-network with your insurance. However, you are more than welcome to ask them if they cover out-of-network providers in mental or behavioral health. If that is the case, I would provide you with monthly Superbills for reimbursement.

MAVEN Coaching for private practice building is different, and at times similar, to my therapy practice. My coaching for therapists is short-term and focused on building your business until it feeds its’ self with minimal work and input thereafter. The focus is to get your practice off the ground or to tweak your growth method so that you are thriving in a 6-figure practice in a year or less. Some of the work will also be psychological in that we will work on your self-esteem, confidence, delivery and overcoming self-doubt or fears. MAVEN Coaching is $1000/6 sessions. Retreats and workshops are coming this Summer 2023.

For the most part, yes! I am willing to be transparent about my life and experience. I have never sat there as a “blank slate” in the room and I attempt to be as authentic and real with you as possible. I hope that I can then invite you to do the same!

Believe it or not, I’m an avid Pokemon player. I also love to dress in fun clothes, shop for thrifty finds, belly laugh to my favorite comedians and ride horses when i can.
